Subject: Why do women want men so badly?
I have had several boyfriends pressure me marry them.
I do want to be married, but decided not to marry them because they weren't the right fit.

Subject: Why do women want men so badly?
I know men pressuring women to marry them too-- and I'm not a millennial, just a middle aged woman. I also know several cases of women who had children because their spouses really wanted children, not because they did. It cits both ways.

Yes, she looks so lonely here with her longtime SO of 20+ years, how sad for her.
Oprah did not try to "have it all." She thought long and hard about marriage and children. She decided that it was not for her. She wanted to be able to realize her dreams, however high they became. Her life is rich in many ways and she does not lack for deep friendships, love, and opportunities to nurture young people. One thing I have learned from biographies of remarkable women is that many chose to limit or forego motherhood and marriage in order to reach the heights they did.

Subject: Why do women want men so badly?
To have a partner to build a life and raise a family with. Love, companionship, working together on common goals. Because together we are better parents and more financially stable than we would be separately. 2 tween/ teens and 17 years of marriage. I've never seriously doubted it was a great decision for me. ymmv.

Today, women choose to get married if they want to. They don't feel the need to find a husband to support them. Women have options and can find what works for them whether that is a traditional marriage, adopting kids as a single woman, cohabitating without marriage -- whatever they want.
The powerful difference is that women today can make choices about what they want. That wasn't always the case.
