As to the comments about H St being useless for families: that's comically untrue. We would love to have more retail on H but the family friendly dining options are amazing.
There are lots of family friendly dining options in Petworth and Columbia Heights now too. What's the point?

(PoP migrants: you give yourselves away when you preen about how awesome!! it is to be close to H Street. Nobody with actual elementary-aged children gives a flying fuck about quick and easy proximity to bars)
Um I have three kids and love to walk to H street. Great places to take the kids for lunch and lots of really great spots for date night. I love not wasting any time driving to a destination when I can quickly walk over.
Lots of people feel this way. Can we please stop talking about stuff that we don't understand?

Good for you, sounds like a delightful day. But what does this have to do with EOTP schools that are great past K?

+100. Best thing is to actually check out open houses of the particular schools you are interested in, and talk to current families.

Watkins -- the "past K" part of Peabody -- is an embarrassment of a school. that's why the precious cluster does not rate when the actual question ask is, "What is a great EOTP school past K ?"
