Well, if you asked independent school heads across the country where they would send their kids in the DC area, I can guarantee you St. Stephen's & St. Agnes School would be in the top three -- and probably at the very top. It’s a fantastic school (for boys and girls).

I know your point is that the school is good. However, I can't help by being bugged by your statement to the effect, "If such a survey were done, this would win". First, you are an anonymous poster (thus, you convey no insider knowledge). As a result, your "guarantee" is worthless. If you are able to find such a survey, please post the results. Otherwise, don't waste time with meaningless speculation.

I could do the same. If there were a survey which asked Harvard, Yale and Princeton admission heads where they would send their child if they had to live in the DC Area, I can assure you that they would say St. Stephen's and St. Agnes School. I guarantee it. God would say the same, frankly.

NCS is recognized outside the beltway. (And no, I don't have a kid there.)

Yup, Sidwell (and St Albans, TJHS and Blair Magnet) are the only schools recognised for their sterling education outside of the beltway (New England and West coast). Of course this does not mean there are no other excellent schools in the D.C.area.

I like how someone has finally distinguished the Big 3 for girls aren't necessarily the same Big 3 for boys.

Folk love the Sidwell brand.

So why is Sidwell mentioned on this site 30 percent more than other schools. Is it love or hate?
