Angela, I'm still here. I was a PP with early stage BC. I had a lumpectomy and radiation.
So sorry to hear of your diagnosis and genetic testing results. But it sounds like you are on the right track and getting good care.

I found the waiting to be so hard. Not that it's a picnic later, but I didn't realize how long it would take to confirm everything and finalize the plan. So I feel for you being in the midst of this!

I would like to reiterate my gratitude to every contribution on this post. I had a lumpectomy performed, genetic testing, and hormone testing. I was diagnosed as having invasive ductal carcinoma stage llb. I have positive estrogen and progesterone receptors. I am BRCA1 negative, but BRCA2 positive. I know this is easily said, but far from easy to handle, or get there. It has been a long process. I am still not anywhere near being finished. This is just the beginning of a long road. I chose to do the lumpectomy vs mastectomy; however, mastectomy is not completely off the table yet. I have not begun treatment yet. That is still being put together. I still have many unanswered questions, and was told that my staging could go up upon further testing, ie mastectomy. I don't mind sharing with anyone what I know, because it might help save a life. just because I had a lump that is cancer doesn't mean that someone else will have the same thing. However, it doesn't mean that they won't either. So, be proactive in your body, and vigilant with anything that is abnormal to your normal. To help you have a better understanding to what I felt I will try to explain it. Basically, it felt like I had a body piercing on the outer, upper side of my right breast. Almost in the armpit. It was very hard. I still don't know much about the breast, so it may not be the same for everyone.

Would you mind sharing your diagnosis? Seems like your original symptoms seemed non concerning to a lot of women on here. Would be good to know what you've found out so far if you don't mind sharing.

That is awesome to know! I would love to share my experience so far, and offer any advice to ANYONE with questions who might have the same concerns as I did. Knowledge is power. My concern is that I do not want to bother anyone if everyone on here has left already.

First off, I would like to thank everyone for the support I have received during, and while away from this site! Secondly, I just wanted to touch base with everyone too!
