Don't know about confirmed, but I too am eager to hear.

It has its own playground and is a 2-3 block walk to a couple of great green spaces.

You should really not speculate about which you have no knowledge. It's entirely possible that the SS administration did a better job of negotiating than the "other charter schools". Imagine that. Also, remember that in DC as in other cities, it comes down to relationships. Half of the SSMA board are Howard alumni. As a new parent I find it fascinating that people who have such little respect for the administration and no longer have children at SS are so interested in the particulars of the lease and the school's reputation and development. Get your life and leave us to our wonderful school. Your commentary is not a contribution.

Yeah, I don't know, I suppose it could all be horribly prescien but this whole line of attack basically pre-supposes that the school doesn't employ a competent real estate agent. Presumably they're at least aware of basic work that might be required on the property. Say what you will about the location search I general but they've already opened two facilities.

Just curious, how did you know the previous tenant said that? Was it a direct communication between you and the tenant? When was the last time the school had students in it?

The school will not get an occupancy owrmit without a functioning hvac. No need to be dramatic.

Sure. I guess it's not at all dramatic to find out at the last minute that your school won't open on time because they didn't get an occupancy permit because they failed to factor in the cost of replacing the HVAC and other necessary repairs?
