I also use this one with my kids at home as an explaination when they question decisions we make that are different than ones we have made for a sib.

Don't let your schooling get in the way of your education.
You can get a lot accomplished if you don't care who gets the credit.
Your success should not depend on the failures of others.
Stuff my mom says (translated from my native tongue...)
1) If you buy expensive- you cry once. But if buy cheap- you cry again and again. ( Bad quality products will not be dependable. Good quality product may be expensive but it will be durable and dependable)
2) The bite and the lick of the dog are both bad for your health. (Avoid toxic people because their enmity and friendship are both harmful)
3) Who will ride on this horse? Alexander the Great will, after he pays for it! ( Money makes the world go round)
4) Like cumin in the mouth of a camel. (Insufficient/ineffective effort or too little too late)
5) If not a burglar, why has he smeared black color on his face? (When evidence points at someone's guilt even when they are denying it)
6) Give a coin to the foolish man but not your advice. (You cannot reason with an illogical and stubborn man)

Not that poster, but our family uses it as basically an equivalent of "mind your own business".
Live [your life how you choose] and let [other people] live [their lives how they choose].
People spend way too much time thinking about, judging, and commenting on stuff that barely has anything to do with them if it has anything to do with them at all. It's ridiculous, exhausting, and unproductive. We have enough going on in our lives without worrying about someone else's life choices that have nothing to do with us.
