Those of you who do believe in hell but are debating who will be there and who won't. Why don't you do some research to learn just what 'going to hell' really means. Is it a place of eternal 'living' punishment or death. It is so easy to connect the dots using the word. How about starting with what the wages of sin is.
OK
So b/c hell is now "documented" twice in one ancient text, it's now real.
Even if someone claims to have been to hell and back (lol), there is no concrete proof this area exists.
I can't believe the BS on these threads. It's actually embarrassing to read through them!
A lot of people, especially in the Southern US, believe what the Bible says. They are taught to in church and even if they don't go to church regularly, they continue to believe. There are many unclear or confusing passages in the Bible that people argue about a lot, but that does not detract from the comfort that comes from choosing the parts that appeal to you and believing in them. Some people choose the parts that promise good things for themselves. Others also like the parts that promise bad things to people who don't believe the same way they do.
