We put an offer on a house that had granite or quartz countertops every where but the island, that countertop was walnut. I'd do something along those lines.

I'm a real estate agent and wood countertops around a sink usually sustain water damage which naturally detracts from the overall look. They can be lovely but don't wear as well as other materials such as stone, manufactured stone or stainless steel.
Marble countertops are another example of something that looks amazing on Pinterest but doesn't translate well to real life usage.

OP If you find a white granite buy it right away. It is very much in demand and a builder will buy it out from under you. So many of the new homes in the $1.5M range around here have this, so I do not think it is out of style. But it is hard to get.
Do you mean "super white" granite?
