He was joking as a way to get her to do more work, and she took it literally.

The Halloween decorations tell you it's been a couple of months.

It was highlighting that Roger still doesn't take the business seriously. Not that he was actually planning to do it in pig latin, but that he would ask them jokingly to do it because he doesn't respect the speech as part of the business. And perfectly fitting for Don's secretary that she took him seriously.

Do we know what happened to Dawn, Don's old secretary?

She got another job and handed in her notice a few episodes back.

No. That was Shirley, who was Roger's second secretary and the only other black staff at SCP apparently. She went to work for an insurance firm. It is a shame we didn't find out about Dawn - her character arc was much more significant than Shirley's.

Wasn't there some suggestion of Dawn and the Dr. in Don's building knowing each other and that turning into some storyline? Agree that there could have been much more to Dawn.

I was trying to figure out who it was. Thought it was Lindsay Wagner at first, but she'd be too old.

We just watched it tonight. First impressions were I really liked it, but have to marinate on it some more. Initial thoughts:

1. I'm a bit disappointed with the imitation that Don went back to NY, to advertising, and to Mcann. But, I hope he is moving forward (back?) with some peace he found and living life differently. Another thing I can get behind is the impression that Don and Peggy will contine to do great work together.

2. This is definitely just the beginning for Sally. Kieran Shipka also has a great career ahead of her, I suspect. Loved her phone scene with Don when she was telling him this is how it will be.

3. I've been waiting and wanting for the Stan-Peggy thing. Sure it seems cliche but I think it's how long lasting relationships start - on a solid friendship. They will last. Remember their first big episode together, when they were working over a weekend in the hotel in their underwear? They've had chemistry ever since.

4. One of my absolute favorite parts was between Peggy and Pete, when she said "A thing like that."

I'm pretty sure Pete and his reunited family will die in a plane crash.

Anonymous wrote:Then what was the point of the Sally/Betty scene at the end? We know Weiner doesn't put things in the show for no reason, but it sounds like most people don't give it any value?

I think it showed Sally forgiving her mother, stepping into help during that hard time, but I don't think it means she's going to stay forever and miss her life of adventure.
