I am sure this will be a hot topic sooner than later. I specifically asked about security concerns because of the neighborhood and they said they haven't had any issues (as of yet) and they feel secure enough with the cameras. I bet when they start having to move small children between buildings they will have more concerned parents and be forced to address the issue.

Not to sound like a kool-aid drinker, but every single day I wake up feeling lucky that my kids have such a fantastic place to spend their days. FWIW.

It's worth quite a bit to us because we feel the same way. We are new to the school this year and have had an incredible year. It's all luck getting in to any school you like but it's all work making the school bear fruit and thrive. My kids are so engaged and so joyful about learning. We are still growing and I feel like the good can always get better. Its true...new charters are not for the faint of heart. Luckily we are in it for the long haul and hoping for the best from our efforts.
