J. Lo - is teeny tiny and not that impressive in sweats and no make up
Dennis Rodman - weird in a scary way
Lisa Ling - nice enough, husband is much nicer. Has a huge dog (boxer but sized like a freaking mastiff) that she let jump all on me
Missy Elliott - quiet and shy
Phife - pushy and self centered

I worked at Saks Fifth Avenue in Bal Harbor through college so I met a ton of celebrities. Those listed above are just the ones I always thought would be opposite of what they really were.

+2. He was playing the "Do you know so-and-so" game, trying to find people we had in common. I kept thinking that my turn at conversation with him was over but he kept talking. I was shaking for an hour after I spoke with him. And, yes, he is tall, at least compared to my 5'8" self. I met Hillary too, not the same time. She was also very friendly and chatty but didn't have the same aura. I certainly wasn't shaking with nerves after I met her. I'm a Republican FWIW.

I had a similar experience with him. Strangely, I had previously had opportunity to brief him when he was in office. When I met him again several years later, he pretended mightily that he remembered that one time. We did talk for a long time about my former boss who was his appointee. He is so magnetic, it's impossible to break away.

A friend of a friend worked for Bethenny and she sounds like she is very demanding but quite nice and generous to her staff (giving them extras).

Also, my first cousin is close friends with Bethenny Frankel. I'm sorry to report I have no dirt, because I have no relationship with the cousin and only found out about their connection when I saw her pop up on my tv.

My friends and I met the band Phish in 1998. We were out at a restaurant together and met them in the parking lot, and they invited us onto their tour bus. They were doing nitrous balloons (not sure if that is the right term), and two of my friends joined in. We hung out with them for a few hours and then went back to our dorms (they stayed in their bus). Other than the drugs, they did nothing unsavory. They did tell us that they would leave "back stage passes" for us at the door if we went to their concert the next night, but when we went to the concert (we hadn't planned to go anyway), there were no back stage passes.

Me, too! He was a close friend of one of my close friends, but I didn't even recognize him when I saw the alumni mag with his picture on it.

I met Brittany Murphy when I was a teenager.It was just after 8 Mile came out so her career was near its peak yet she still acted really grateful & humbled by the fact that she had fans. She really seemed like a genuinely sweet person.I always thought she was an underrated talent, too, & was really hoping she'd make a comeback when her career started going south during the last few years of her life.

She's the only celebrity whose death I've ever really teared up over.

Alex Rodriguez was behind me on an escalator- this was back in the 90s in Seattle. He was using bad language and making egotistical statements. I don't remember what he said exactly, but I was hugely unimpressed.

My husband was a manager at a bar in Georgetown and met many people, the most disappointing was Michael Keaton who was rude and dismissive to basic requests (can I get you another drink?) this was around 7 years ago.

I've met quite a few celebrities due to my job. I'm usually amazed at how petite most of them are. Even the men are usually very slight.

Ha! I met them in the early 90's in Palm Beach. I used to model for an artist, and they bought one of his paintings featuring me. Good times, those 90's.
