OK, I had to click and read why Foods4BetterHealth.com thinks that I should never eat peanut butter.
1.
It could contain trans fats. But does it? Nope. The ingredients in the peanut butter I use are: peanuts.
2.
Toxic mold! However, the National Institutes for Health (not Foods4BetterHealth.com, but still) says, "The FDA believes occasionally eating small amounts of aflatoxin poses little risk over a lifetime."
3.
Allergies to toxic mold Regardless of whether it's the peanuts or the aflatoxin that causes allergic reactions in people who have allergic reactions to peanut butter, I do not have any allergic reactions to peanut butter.
4.
Pesticides. I buy organic peanut butter.
5.
Inflammation from too much omega-6. Nope, I don't have that.
6.
Oxalates. I don't have kidney problems either.
So, advice from Foods4BetterHealth.com notwithstanding, I think that I will continue to eat peanut butter. Yum!
