My parents sold theirs (an orange one) for $500. I so wish they had kept it! now I have 2 kids, a husband and a dog, and a bug is impractical, but I so desperately want one. for Christmas, please santa.
+1 One of my friends had a vintage VW bug, nicely restored with a light blue paint job (bought by her grandparents, not her parents). We all thought that was the coolest car!

A 16 year old has no business owning their own car. They have no business having a license either, but that's a different story. They are definitely not mature and responsible enough to own their own car. That's number two.
