I like such threads.I now want to change my ombre as I see a lot of people find it tastelessl.I always thought I have good taste I guess I have flaws sometimes))
I hope your joking. Taking fashion advice from the inhabitants of the least fashionable city in the country is not good advice.
Do what you like with your hair, wear what you like. You don't have to dress to the D.C. uniform, get a bob cut and only wear Bobbi Brown make-up.
It may well be good advice if that's the city in which you're currently living. Fashion is quite adaptable really, and what would look good and be appropriate in one location may well be considered inappropriate, tacky, or just flat out unattractive in a different place. Since the idea of fashion is to look appropriate for the time, place, and occasion one is presently in I think such threads can be potentially good sources of information and ideas.
Yes, let's all look the same because we live in the same area.
Your advice can work in small towns where diversity and difference are looked down upon or frowned on, but does not hold true in any larger metropolitan areas.
But I've always noticed more of a smaller town, close minded mentality in D.C. that has distinguished itself from most metropolitan areas around the world. And with the nickname 'worst dressed city", it fits.. So I'm not surprised by your comment.
Was with you until this. I am proud to say that I've found so many medium and small cities all over the country that have a very open attitude toward people being/looking different. I think its more the norm than those of us in urban areas give smaller areas credit for. Not all places of course, but not all large metropolitan areas are open either!
