This is not the reaction that my aunt saw when she served large platter of sushi at a wedding in the 70's. People were grossed out by eating raw fish wrapped over vinegar rice. I think this reaction would be the norm, like eating raw beef tartar.
Not me at all.
The first time I had sushi I was in awe. It hit all the flavor and texture spots for me: sweet, salty, spicy, vinegary, sour, chewy, crunchy, soft, creamy. It's my perfect food. The first time I had it I couldn't even believe it existed. Obviously, I like the Cadillac rolls with all the ingredients!!
