I'm not, but I can imagine how embarassing it might be to be on "Team Rachel" and then ending up having to testify under oath as to whether you had ever suggested on sites like this that Ms. Lemmon had filled out surveys intended for teachers or otherwise manipulated the survey results.

The potential reputational and emotional injury that one anonymous poster may suffer at the hands of another anonymous poster on an internet forum is easily distinguishable from the character assassination of school personnel, identified by name, that takes place regularly on DCUM.

From what I've gathered, Jeff allows such criticisms of school principals, but not individual teachers. I'm not sure I see a major difference, and I have little doubt that PP would be greatly offended if a parent or student decided to wage a public campaign against his or her spouse (a teacher) on DCUM. None of them are elected officials or public figures who have sought the limelight.

I don't know what Jeff allows, but this discussion is in the context of a lawsuit where apparently the allegations are available publicly. That's different than a thread about someone with no lawsuit.
