From the articles I've read online, they did not shy away from any of it. I'm not sure when I'll watch them.
I fast forwarded through last week's episode and haven't watched last night's yet. I'm not sure I really want to watch it. Perhaps I'll just catch up with them in France.

I found this thread wanting to discuss the show with readers of the books, but it seems that not everyone has read all the books, snd some question going forward. I am not a reader, but picked up the books because of the long break in the show. I nanaged to finish them all. While it gets a little slow around book 5 & 6, its worth sticking it out to get all the background for books 7 & 8. I find myself following the GD facebook page just for snippets as she works on book 9...which is a long way away.I guess my point is, if you love the characters, want to follow the significance of their familial lines, the profecy, follow jamie and claire's love story & all its tests and its evolution over time...then read on.

Ok, finished book 3. I agree that the story's getting a little crazy with all the perils and the traveling. A bit over the top, but I'm still enjoying the story so I'm going to give book 4 a chance.
