I'm a gamer so I say those things. Has nothing to do with my intelligence. It's just very common in many online communities and sometimes carries over into the offline world. I am very capable to speak "properly" as well but don't always feel like it. And luckily the people around me aren't bothered and find my occasional nom nom and woot sprees rather cute.

"Nom, nom, nom" is unacceptable, except when you say it while nuzzling a baby's cheeks. Tots adorbs!!

+1. I also despise "Welp." Also, can't stand when people say "Yowza!" in response to a flattering profile picture on FB. Or how when there is a FB picture of a pregnant woman, someone always has to comment that she is a "pretty pregnant mama." Barf! I am also getting tired of "Boom!"

I hate it when people talk about their spouse as "my best friend." (i.e. Thirty years ago, I married my best friend.) One of my neighbors recently divorced her 'best friend' because apparently they both had additional 'best friends' on the side. Go figure . ..

I hate it just as much when the singular "nom" is used, which one of my friends annoyingly does.

I hate "totes" for totally and "adorbs" for adorable. It makes my skin crawl.

I hate woot and hubby, but love nom nom nom bec that's how I feel when I'm eating something yummy! Allo Guvnah is awesome and I immediately love anyone who says it.

People need to quit saying "I know, right?" annoying.

Also when you say excuse me to someone and they say "oh you're good" annoys me. I know I'm good, but thanks for the blessing.
