A hundred years ago Austria-Hungary had a problem with Serbian terrorists and declared war on Serbia as a result. It didn't end well; Austria-Hungary is no more, and for a long time Serbia was incorporated in the new country Yugoslavia. We have yet to come up with a good way to deal with non-state actors, but devastating an entire country isn't a solution.

You can't expect peace when people are oppressed.

Would it have been possible for Gaza to export anything in view of the blockade? I understand that the major manufacturing facilities near the border have been destroyed, so this is now even less likely.

That's one of the problems, isn't it? Economic opportunity isn't enough, but it does go a long way to promote peace.

Hmmm - rockets, death, bloodshed, misery and hate - those are the leading exports from Gaza.

Nothing comes out of Gaza. That's a big part of the problem.

Gaza makes a lot, but they are forbidden from exporting anything. Israel likes to keep them poor and starving.

You may not believe in violence, oppression and murder but unfortunately, your friends in Hamas and ISIS swear by it.

Well, between the blockade and the bombing you might not have to.
