This is the surest indication that there are some things that women don't like to hear.

DCUM is inundated with different opinions some valid and some are not on a whole bunch of controversial subjects. But comment on single mothers not being desirable to most men when it comes to a serious relationship or that overweight/obese people should do something to lose weight for reasons of health, career or social acceptance and it is considered out of bounds.

Why the sensitivity? If women really believe that being a single mother makes little or no difference you'd just ignore the naysayers.

You assume that a custody agreement gives the father a legal hold over a mother's schedule. That is not universally the case. I have as much time with my daughter as I do because I want to be with her that much and I believe she is better spending more time in my care than her dad's. When I want to spend more time with my guy, we don't have trouble finding someone finding a relative or friend who wants to babysit my daughter.

I never said men aren't interested. I said when I have small children with me, I am pretty much invisible to men. Of course it's random men around. I'm not asking guys out when I have little kids with me and getting a long-winded explanation about the nature of primates.
