In college, I was pretty much "the black girl" that non-black guys dated. (There was very little interracial dating on my campus, despite it being a very large school. The exception was the foreign exchange students from Scandinavia --they dated black guys almost exclusively!)

I could tell during the first date if the non-black guy had a black girl fetish. If he did, he didn't get a second date.

I dig Caribbean men, except for some of the Hispanic variations. My guy is from Barbados.

PP here who's white married to an Asian. I guess people who like white men in America are equating "sexy" with "macho"? In my experience, white men are so full of macho bullshit that they are next to impossible to be with. My DH is very masculine in a way that doesn't require him to posture and act like a ridiculous, insecure masculine caricature like most white men I've dated. Because it's so "masculine" to insult women, drive super fast, play video games all the time, and pretend to hate being in a stable relationship. Ugh, just thinking of my experiences dating white guys makes me groan -- it was like dating 30-year-olds who were perpetually mentally 14.

What kind of white guys were you dating? If you're dating educated, UMC white men you shouldn't have these issues. Maybe the desirable ones weren't into you (which would explain you having to marry an Asian guy)

I'm not this poster, but I am a little insulted by this post, as I am married to an Asian guy and it's not because I "had" to. What kind of guy do you consider "desirable"? I am educated, fit, and above-average in looks but I am not into the whole American sports and drinking culture that many "desirable" white guys are into and a lot of white girls either are into or pretend to be in order to be with these guys. I'm also an undyed brunette who isn't good at sports and who likes classical music and museums. I'm not insulted that a certain type of guy wouldn't be "into" me because of this.

I think it's wrong to say collectively for instance, "Oh well...I don't find Black men attractive at all...Or Hispanic men...Or Asian men...Or...Etc..." Because there will ALWAYS be an exception to any given rule or statement.

For example, I have certain friends who will remain nameless who swear up + down they will NEVER ever date a Black guy...NO WAY!! Then I say..."Oh sure...So if T.I. came up to you and asked you out, you would show him the door...am I right?!" And I always get..."Well now, T.I. is hot!!" Blah, blah, blah.....


Once you start to generalize and pigeon-hole people, you are only asking for trouble because there will always be that one exception to the rule that will just love to prove your ass wrong. Lol.

Before I got married I think I dated just about every type of guy LOL! I dated: African-American, African, Jamaican, White American, Irish, Scottish, Latino-American, Venuzuelan, Argentinian, Italian, one Swedish guy, British, South Indian, and I think that covers it. The only "ethnicity" I have not dated is Asian, although I had a couple of crushes on Japanese-American guys.

So going back to OP's original question, I guess I'd be a resounding YES!
