The Stoning of Soraya

I wished I hadn't seen this in the theater. I was crying so hard, I was embarrassed.

Short Term 12. New indie movie - but I was crying/smiling during one scene and couldn't remember a movie that was so happy and sad at the same time that has come out recently.

All subtitled but worth your time (and tears). Some are on Netflix or Amazon Prime.

Forgot to add Remembrance to the list. It's also on Netflix.

I think they tried to pack too much into that movie. At some point it felt like, "when are we ever going to get this kind of budget for a black cast movie again, so we better pack everything into it we can!"

They're all still nice eye candy, though.

I watched Best Man Holiday tonight thinking it was going to be a cute, feel good movie. Holy hell. I was so wrong. I'm not sure I've ever cried so hard at a movie.

Worst movie ever. Totally trivializes the Holocaust.

Disagree. IMO, this movie showed the strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity during a beyond horrific period in history.
