You'd give off an angry/vile vibe too if you had to deal with a spouse like OP's DW. I already posted in his defense, because I have first-hand experience dealing with a personality like that. If you've never experienced it, you just don't know....

OP, dump your wife and move on with your life. Do the best you can to take care of your daughter whether you are able to get custody or not.

It is unlikely she will change. I've always wondered what makes people marry their spouses when it is obvious that it is a matter of time before the shit hits the fan.

One of my colleagues is married to a woman like your wife and life with her is a constant state of drama and volatility.

There are decent, stable women around......

Your wife's behavior is outrageous, frankly. I stay at home with 2 kids and drop-off is part of the job description. If you divorce, custody will be shared - do you think your DD will be OK with her mother when you're not around?
(This question, in reverse, is what I ask myself when DH throws one of his crazy fits, and for me the answer is no, not yet, kids are too young).

Practice being calm at all times, and fake it til you make it. Your wife wants to get a rise out of you every now and then - don't gratify this narcissistic tendency. My mother was like that. I ended up speaking to her exactly like your DD just did.
Look her straight in the eye, and calmly tell her it's her job, and if she cannot do it, she can go look for a paid job or go to the doctor, because her behavior is not normal.

Not hearing the wife's side of the story - I can't take sides, but from what was presented, I have to agree with above comments. As a SAHM, it his her job to get the child to school. If she had prior plans, she should have told you.
