LOL, it's raining reeple over here. Sounds like some of the Pioneer Woman's Facebook friends ran to defend her honor.![]()
Let's keep it real, people. She was a secretary at the NRC, not a scientist or policymaker.

I quoted the "anonymous" poster, it's pretty clear to whom I was referring.

And now you think paid agents are being sent to DCUM to combat you as you uncover the truth behind the PW myth? "Shedding the light on the fake Pioneer Woman"?
You are sounding very crazy.
Pardon me, which "anonymous" poster are you referring to? Pretty low, attacking people who don't share your adulation of the Pioneer Woman.

I don't think anyone doubts that Ina manufactures, to some extent, her "lifestyle." But she doesn't pretend to be just folks, or to do everything alone. Ree, however, claims to be just folks, even as she and her husband are fabulously wealthy, and she claims she does it all by herself - blogging, managing comments, homeschooling, caring for her four kids, helping her husband ranch, cooking for her family and the ranch hands, doing her show - it just doesn't add up, and it's dishonest. And that's before all the recipes she lifts completely without attribution.
Ina used to work for the Nuclear Reg C, and then had a catering company in the Hamptons--she's legit. Only had one recipe not turn out well from her. Never tried PW--too fatty and meat-centric.
I like Ezrapoundcake and Homesick Texan for food blogs.

1) she was rich
2) not everyone of her recipes was stellar
3) she had some sort of help
I mean who the hell thinks that one person does all of that...but even if you have childcare or household help doesn't mean you don't do things for your family....cook, clean...whateva! I don't get the feeling of being duped...must be some really dummies out there !!
Eh. I don't hate her with the fire of 10000 suns or anything, but you have to admit that it's not like she's just letting people assume she does it all on her own. On her blog, she actively cultivates the persona that she's doing this on her own, isn't rich, etc. It's not just a lie of omission, she's clearly pushing a fake persona. Which, whatever, but it is kind of gross.
I never, ever got this, never. I always assumed she had money -- her family has a huge ranch that has been handed down for a couple of generations, that says money. The ranch is huge, says money to me. I think people just assumed that because she was on a ranch and did not scream "money" , that she did not have money. I honestly think a lot of people duped themselves. I just don't get it.

Some weeks, there's only one new post. Nor have I observed any stalking or hating. People post their honest opinions about the PW and this site offers them a forum. If you try to post anything critical of PW on her site, she deletes it. I don't understand the thought process that if you disagree or criticize the party line, you're immediately labeled a stalking hater. Go figure.
Sorry, I don't get the stalker accusations but what I'm seeing now is hatred towards the MW site. Pretty narrow-minded, not to mention sick, to characterize criticism as hate and stalking. Why? The MW's done nothing but shed the light on the fake Pioneer Woman. In Ree's world, the sun is always shining and everyone's happy. What a crock! The Marlboro Woman site is a riot. Every Saturday they recap Food Network's dumbed-down for mass appeal Pioneer Woman show. How does writing a snark post once a week constitute hatred? Another thing the MW site has uncovered is the fact that Ree Drummond hires people to troll forums and boards to counter any negativity. Didn't take long for the paid trolls to show up here.

Hmmm...the idea of starting an entire forum to display your dislike of someone -- yea that's stalkerish to me
Yeah. Who maintains a site with the sole purpose of pulling back the curtain on a cook (!) on TV (!)? Who has that kind of simmering hatred for a person on TV? It's sick.
