The real problem long term for dominance kink is that part of the entire dynamic is kind of a projected ideal the sub places on the dom. After enough times of taking out the trash, doing the dishes, coparenting, and whatever else - that ideal gives way to reality and the mystique is gone.

Things can be rough, aggressive, and polar, but even I find it hard to maintain the hard line dom position when I know just earlier wife asked me to change a poopy diaper while she was busy doing something else.

Life isn't a rom-com.

Some women are foolish in their choice of mates, either they choose a schlub they're not fully attracted to because he'd be a good husband (and then get bored), or they cycle through a string of cute/artistic/whatever jerks.
