My guess is that ABC canceled all promo tours involving Juan Pablo. Usually the winners do a pretty big media tour. It sounds like ABC want to rid themselves of the Juan Pablo cancer. He is unreliable and no one in the franchise likes or respects him anymore.

He has some type of personality disorder, this I am sure of.

I just can't help but wondering how the way JP treats women will translate to what his daughter views herself as, in relation to what kind of man she seeks out when she's older and how she lets men treat her.

For her sake, I hope she stays in Kansas City and holds on to her job which she seems to like and just deals with this as a commuter/weekend relationship until she sees the error of her ways. Though I guess he could come up to KC and spend some time with her, as it doesn't seem like he works full time.

What was it that he found out two weeks ago that changed their plans?

The whole -- it's all private, it doesn't matter if I love her or not, we have plans but won't share -- doesn't go over well when you were the one who went on TV to find love.

He made himself look like a jerk and Nikki look clueless for being with a man who "really likes her a LOT." It's totally fine to not propose -- I feel like on the Bachelorette that is even a choice -- walk out in a relationship but without a proposal. But he could have handled the whole thing better. If this really is about her father (yeah right) -- he could have said "it's important for me to spend more time with her before proposing bc I promised her father I would," or make it about her getting to know his D off camera. Also it isn't exactly a state secret if you will/will not live together, or stay in your respective cities for a while and do a commuter relationship until there is a proposal. Catherine was right -- don't bite the hand that feeds you. Good luck to Nikki -- if she stays with him -- he seems like a control freak.

It was just horrible to watch, and what embarrassment and shame I'd feel to be in Nikki's position. But maybe it's a good thing she is younger, less experienced (I think she's 26, whereas Claire is 32). It's all rosy, she feels there's enough time for more. If things don't last, she's still got some years ahead of her, and thankfully Claire solidly moved away from that mess.

He was so rude to Chris Harrison...saying Chris was interrupting him, etc. Geez! Juan Pablo made himself look like a complete ass, and Nikki looks like an idiot for being with him.

I do wish Chris had laid off about JP not saying that he loves Nikki. At this point, I'm not sure JP is capable of loving anyone except himself.

Will the relationship last? I'd be shocked if it did. Shocked.

Nikki is right - plenty of people have sat there and said they were in love when they really weren't. They were together for less than 8 weeks, while he was dating 20+ other people. TO come our of that with an engagement - no matter how much viewers might want a storybook ending - is crazy. It's why there have been so few marriages in the show's history. He's an ass, but he's also truthful.

I don't think anyone cared about the lack of an engagement. It was his demeanor and attitude throughout the season, and particularly tonight. ABC is really kicking themselves over this choice, I'm sure.

Yep. I'm glad Catherine finally said it - don't bite the hand that feeds you! There was no reason for him to be such a douche and all it did was make everyone even more curious. What a great start to their "private life" - unnecessary drama!
