This is the OP.

My sister passed away peacefully early this morning. She was with people who love her when it happened, I am so glad her battle with cancer is finally over. It really hasn't hit me yet, but we've all been preparing for so long and no one expected her to go on as long as she did.

Cancer is a cruel disease. I want to thank all of the people on DCUM who have been so kind in replying with words of comfort and encouragement. It's been hard for me to talk about this journey to people outside of our immediate family and friends. Having this forum, believe it or not, has been such a help because it is anonymous. It allowed me to express some things I wouldn't be able to do otherwise. Blessings to you all. : )
