I would never assume I could bring a pet to someone's home, and I would expect people to ASK me before bringing one to mine.

I have a yapping little dog. He 'yaps' because he feels he is protecting us and we are grateful for the love. We are not deaf, we just understand why the dog is yapping.

My little one was abused early on in life. He learned not to trust people. We took him in when no one else would and he repays us daily by guarding the house and keeping us safe. I am so grateful for his presence, yappy or not. If someone doesn't like him because he barks, they can leave.

Is their dog bad? You didn't imply that it was a bad dog and you already own a dog, so how much work could one more dog be?


I would never board my animals either. Ever. Too many horror stories. If I had a trusted friend who would watch the dog for me, that would be different. I've taken in my friends' dogs when they've traveled. Their dogs had a great time with my dogs at my house.
