I think two parents both working 50+ with travel is very hard. But I think your plan of trying it and seeing how it goes makes sense.

Your family will benefit greatly from an excellent nanny plus a housekeeper which it sounds like you can afford. At 50+ hours of work, when you are not at work you will want to spend all of your time with kids and husband plus a little "mommy time." So, someone else needs to do all routine housework, cooking, laundry, grocery shopping, even possibly bill paying.

It will really help if you are good at hiring and managing people like nannies, housekeepers and organizers. If you are not good at this or like doing this kind of work yourself, then you are going to get overwhelmed quickly.

Yes, if my DH was making $350K and we had substantial savings, I wouldn't think twice about turning down a job that would require me to work a lot and travel. After payroll, income and state taxes, you'll only bring home around 55% of your salary. Then when you factor in child care for when you're not home and traveling, plus all the other misc things you'll spend money on from working (dry cleaning, transportation to/from work, etc.), you won't be left with enough to justify the stress this job will cause you and your family. However, if you fear you'll regret turning this job down, accept it with the idea that if you're not happy in 6 months, you can quit.
