High quotient of kids from private schools, preferably boarding schools or at least something with "Country Day" in the title. Parochial schools don't count unless Episcopalian.

To us the preppiest would be Princeton, Trinity, Connecticut College and Princeton. Williams was the least or at least that was our obersrvation, it seemed more hippyish/international than anything, it is very remote.

Its nothing but mountains all around it, beautiful but absolutely isolated, and on visits you will sometimes hear the kids say that was something that helped make their decision, so you have to WANT that kind of environment.
I know it's remote and that you have to WANT it. I went there. I was just amused by the thought of Muffy and Biff being horrified by Williamstown. Actually, though, there are plenty of preppy types at Williams, but they're not of the PYG/Vineyard Vines variety.

My kid just graduated from Princeton. It was less preppy than her private school here in DC. Also, it doesn't have a big Greek system...in fact, the university doesn't authorize the Greek system.
Yes, I've heard Miami of Ohio is really preppy
Most state schools aren't as preppy as private ones. Miami of Ohio is a public school. Odd that it would be preppy.
