I'm a "high SES" black parent from VERY low SES origins, btw .. so maybe the poster is talking about MY child. This is all so confusing

Heaven forbid that the better test scores that are expected be related to improvements made in the early education program over the last few years that are taking shape now, and that will track with current students as they move to higher grades. Learning has nothing to do with your skin color, my friend. It has everything to do with how children are taught.
