I loved the book too. The movie was actually decent. The same guy who directed Atonement also directed the "P&P" version with Keira Knightly which was so God-awful. Somehow he managed to curb his ego and love of cheesiness and make a good film with Atonement.

Bridges of Madison County. The book was beyond awful, but they managed to make a watchable movie out of it.
