If you removed the "00" at the end of the number, the house would be just as easily locatable. That is how it is done in many, many other places.

It's ridiculous and adds to the overall bureaucratic feel of this area. When we moved into our house, my mom asked me if there were thousands of houses on our street.

I refused to look at a house on Brennon Lane because my last name is Brennan. The o just makes me crazy!! I couldn't deal with it every day.

There is a Watts Mine Lane in Avenel in Potomac. Couldn't live there because it's such a conspicuous consumption name. Yuck.

I couldn't rent a house on Electric Avenue - I got the damn song stuck in my head every time I mentioned it. (Ok, I REALLY couldn't rent it because it had lots of old filthy shag carpet and smelled like cat pee, but the name was a minor issue too.)
