I WAH so I have to work whether the Office is closed or not....even if thers a blizzard.
You are a piece of work. Are you COMPLAINING that the tax payers pay you to work at home, so poor you have to work if the feds close???
For you to condemn the feds for worry about the rest of us who are not so lucky as you but actually do have to drive on ice or whatever.... you are a horrible selfish person.
I agree. The first poster is incredibly annoying given that he/she never has to worry about weather conditions and commuting.
Why do people choose to have ridiculously long commutes and then think they can use that as an excuse for everything? If you lived 5 miles from work instead of 50, things like "Carmageddon" wouldn't happen. I left work normal time that day and instead of the usual 15 minutes, it took 40, not 8 hours like people love to complain about.

Because they want at least a 5,000 sq ft new construction house and can see their kids from 7:15 - 8:30 pm each day before the kids go to bed.
Not everyone can afford to live close to work, and not everyone who buys a house further out lives in a 5,000 sq foot home. When we bought our house, DH worked in Northern VA and I worked in Maryland so no matter where we lived, one of us would have a long commute.

Lame.
All of the side roads I was on are very slick in MoCo. It took a good 5-10 minutes to melt the ice off of my car and it was still sleeting.
