Blair LOL, my housekeepers daughter declined that one and placed into Whitman!

+1 What else can they say? Also "there is a big drug problem at x school that I couldn't afford/didn't get into"

Hahahahahahahahahahahah
Grow up. And I might have to agree with her/him. After all the fuss, these private school admissions are not at all impressive. NO SCHOOL can compare to TJ and Blair.

If you are looking for a great school where the head and assistant head of DOCTORATES in education and the tuition is HALF what you pay(ed), take a look at Christ Episcopal School in Rockville. They have been doing amazing things for their students including a ground breaking curriculum delivery system called LIFT they created with Johns Hopkins University. I mean, Johns Hopkins working with a school and the tuition is just 16K? Give me a break.
They don't have the beautiful fields and state-of-the-art observatory that wow a lot of parents and convince them that the tuition is worth it...what they do have is skilled, master teachers from Preschool - grade 8 and ALL of the students matriculate to top high schools like Georgetown Prep, Visitation, Maret, NCS, St. Albans just to name a few...I name these because these seem to be the schools everyone is stuck on.
Another point, why does everyone assume the highest priced school is the best? It's simply not true.
