I personally prefer Bon Iver's cover of "I can't Make you love me" to the original.

Best of My Love-----Eagles. 1975.

First love and I broke up. Listened to it driving home from her house.

Ever since then, whenever I hear it, I immediately think of her.

Happily married for 35 years......................to other people. (I married her best friend)

As an aside, we live 3 miles from one another, and I see her about once every 5 years or so.

There is SO MUCH HOTNESS going on in this performance...

And the guy can PLAY.

I just need to thank/curse whoever posted this for my new and totally unnecessary mini-obsession with Keith Urban. I managed to miss him as a country star, as Mr Kidman, and as American Idol host. But I clicked on this youtube link and that's all it took. So thanks for that.

The story behind how she and Steve Poltz wrote that is hilarious.

Haha - I had never heard that before. Now I'll try to think of that instead of my ex.

Jewel remembers the song they wrote on this trip as You Were Meant For Me. Poltz feels it's one of the B sides that they wrote together. I was a long time ago regardless:

Patti Griffin's Buck Naked Heart - another good one, rarely heard, but worth the listen.

Steve Earle's Never Said Goodbye (or sometimes just called Goodbye) comes to mind.

This one, I'm sure Jeff is familiar with. When Emmy Lou Harris pulls harmony, it's haunting!
