This is MUCH better IMO

She will have to make some compromises. Maybe you can afford more or would choose different but this is not your thread. I'm with OP, anyway--I would much rather live in a boring house in a convenient, family-friendly, metro-accessible, walkable area with good schools than in a picture-perfect house in a boring place.
Hey, let's not be slamming Ashburn here (*) (**), many of DCUMers will be living there someday. Plus, it's only 10 miles from me, which means all of you can bask slightly in my awesomeness.
*See, if I were shallowly interested in boosting my own property values, I'd be boosting Leesburg. But I'm not. I'm even offering to help make sure each and every one of you can get their place in Ashburn, then ensure the drawbridge is closed right after you get here!
**The optional Purcellville/Hamilton upgrade is there. However, if you're a Democrat, I really recommend staying closeted except when you rant about newcomers to the county.
***Can someone familiar with both sides of the river translate this into Frederick for those unable to live in VA?

Ok, "stunning" is taking things a bit far. That house would need more than shutters to be stunning. A viable option, yes, but not stunning!

Anonymous wrote:9:48 - hmmm, don't know. My guess is that it was initially overpriced and then they probably didn't drop the price enough before the hot selling season was over. It's very roomy and pretty nice on the inside, but the outside just isn't very attractive. And while the lot is big, it's kind of weird, and downward-sloping toward the house. (which can cause drainage/water issues.) Good neighborhood, though.
