Here's the house for sale in Arlington Heights. It's 649,900 which is more than I thought it would be. I think it could use a paint job and some other touches outside to make it cuter, but I think it has potential. The kitchen is also too modern for my taste, however, I really like the family room addition with the bookshelves.

**The optional Purcellville/Hamilton upgrade is there. However, if you're a Democrat, I really recommend staying closeted except when you rant about newcomers to the county.

***Can someone familiar with both sides of the river translate this into Frederick for those unable to live in VA?

It's been on the market for over a year so it's obviously overpriced.

I think the OP of this house was being sarcastic. Yes, there are some ugly houses in Arlington, just like there are ugly houses everywhere. But like many people have said, location is key and the schools for the most part are outstanding....

Ok, "stunning" is taking things a bit far. That house would need more than shutters to be stunning. A viable option, yes, but not stunning!

Ok, "stunning" is taking things a bit far. That house would need more than shutters to be stunning. A viable option, yes, but not stunning!

Agree with this, although I don't think the inside is that great, except for the kitchen. I also think the lack of a level back yard is a problem, especially for people with kids who might want room to play. Looks like a short sale, too. They bought it in 2008 for $975,000.
