I am so sorry, OP.

I am sure you would. This has happened to many many women, you will survive. How many weeks?

Miscarried and beyond distraught. Whether you thought I was too old or not. I'd have been a great mum.

Honey, Op stands for original poster and pp stands for previous poster.

PP I wasn't complaining. I am in shock. IVF WAS the only way.

Is someone refering to me as OP as in old person or something!? Oh well being as I am too old and children deserve young mothers. I best get to my doctors and get advice on not being pregnant! I know these things are things that go through my own mind and I should have been more careful but the chances of conceiving when you are 0ver 44 are 1% naturally. The chances of conceiving when you have severe endometriosis are near damn impossible, especially the day after a period. Then I inadvertently post on an IF forum and can't work out how to delete it and also I was told the only way I'd get pregnant was by IVF and then it was unlikely. I haven't told anyone because this is the reaction I am scared of. Am I too old. Last chance scenario.
I googled 44 and pregnant in a state of shock and ended up here. The only people I who know, strangers, with some support and some saying I an BEYOND insensitive and another that I am too damn old to be a mum. Well I feel just terrible.

Agree with PP. No one dies at 42 of old age. My mom was actually 44 when she had me. 46 when she had my brother. It was totally natural too - no IVF back then. Had a great childhood and wouldn't trade it for the world.

Pretty sure your mother didn't die of old age at 42 PP......

I'm the PP. I actually have no fertility issues, but have close friends struggling with it. Trying to stick up for the women who have their hearts broken daily dealing with IF. I understand where the poster is coming from, but as I said, complaining about actually being pregnant on this forum is not cool. There are other places for that.
