maybe i'm naive but based on that video, the mom seems pretty honest to me. the dad seems a little shiftier than the mom. not sure what happened here, but i do agree they're not acting like hysterical parents who've lost their baby and are begging for her to be found. something's off.

When she first went missing, the reports all pointed out that baby Lisa had a cold with a cough. I suspect perhaps drunk mommy (home alone - wasted - with 3 kids on dad's first ever overnight shift) may have accidently OD'd baby on cold meds and then tried to cover it up. I really, really hope I am wrong. But I agree with the other posters who say why isn't this woman on the news telling the kidnappers that Lisa likes a certain blanky or paci or whatever?

If the mother was neglectful and somewhat absent, then it is more likely that the kid was a victim of a random stranger danger.
If the mother neurotic and fanatic about security, I would not believe it.

I am fine after one glass but had two of Bordeaux last week and was shocked at how close to drunk I felt. My parents never drank. DH's always had a few. Now I am rethinking my approach. Shouldn't I abstain so they have one teetotaling parent?

Drinking also impacts people very differently. I can drink a glass of wine and have no impairment. i have a very high tolerance and one glass of wine is like one glass of grape juice. My mother on the other hand, one glass of wine and she is tipsy and 1.5 sheets to the wind. She could never be left responsible for kids after drinking a glass, whereas I am comfortable drinking two glasses and looking after kids.

Just know your own limits.

And I have no idea where Lisa is...my bet would be on accidental death - maybe smothering from bed sharing? Who knows though...I am still open to any scenario as possible, even a stranger abduction.

I think the odds of someone coming in to their house and taking the baby out of the crib is slim to none.

My guess is that her response was in answer to someone asking - if she blacked out- how does she know she didn't harm the baby and just forget. The point is - she was drunk, she may have even blacked out, but she is saying that doesn't mean she turned into a murderer.

I'm not saying she is innocent or guilty, but I hope while they investigating the family, the police are also looking at other leads. It sickens me to think how quickly the police accuse the family. Even if it is often true, sometimes -yes very few - but sometimes they are actually innocent.

Based on OPs video the father did it. Why does everyone always blame the mom?

That was one of my thoughts too. I was living in the San Diego area when Danielle Van Dam was kidnapped and during the trial. This kind of reminds me of that situation a bit.
