Not sure I understand. What score expectations would you have from an excellent student? Scores look excellent to me. Good luck!

Thanks, I will ask AART. I tend to think that submitting W4 will be better now. If he does not get in, we do not plan to appeal.

Agreed. This is why I asked if we should wait for another year. I realize the scores are not strong. He did not have any prep for any tests. We moved to this school
in Sep and the tests came quickly. On the positive side ( IMO) he did win two local art competitions. I don't know if that helps any with an academic program such as AAP.

Why will the NNAT score not count

Only the NNAT test administered in grade 1 is considered for pool qualification

Thanks again!

Hi all. My daughter got a 152 composite Cogat score. Verbal 147, Quantitavtive 146, Non-verbal 138. All 99th percentile. She is a great student but not excellent. A and B work on grade level only, she does seem bored sometimes but not to any great extent. I know there isn't an equivalent correlation with Cogat and IQ but can some conclusions be drawn? I talked to AA director who claimed she'll definitely be accepted in the program. Has that been anyone else's experience, I thought most AA kids were at least a year above grade level. Is that not the case?
Thanks for your input.

you should submit the WISC with your initial self referral. The other scores alone aren't strong enough to demand placement. Of all the scores the 134 WISC is the best one, so go with the best. I'm sure your aart will agree. i was not taking any chances last year and even though DC was in the pool I still sent in the WISC with the initial file. I wanted the argument to be compelling to find DC eligible.

16:34 - don't take advice from here. ask your AART about submitting the WISC along with parent referral. My two cents, you should and would most likely get in. but like I suggested, ask AART.

Thanks for your support. Greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

My son got NNAT score 138 but second grade so it does not count towards the pool

COGAT score 115, 135, 128 Composite 129. so not in pool

WISC score of 134

Do we submit WISC as part of self referral?

Any suggetion on should we even bother with self-referral or simply wait for another year.

As of Friday afternoon, my daughter's school (Rolling Valley) hadn't even received the NNAT scores yet. So I'd guess it will be late next week at the earliest. That's based on the scores getting to the school on Monday or Tuesday, and who knows if that's likely.

My DC is in pool. composite score is 138. Teacher's feedback on classroom performance has been pretty good. What is the chance that DC can get into GT center? I'm concerned that the score may be on the low end..
