We received an invitation. We left it completely up to DC. We'll be going. Will promise to update once we've gone through it.
Why would I be waiting on baited breath to hear your progress on something you have enrolled your child in, having had the benefit of all these other people telling you it's an elitist, discriminatory organanization that breeds a super-class?! I've gotten enough information from the great parents here who are now organizing a Zumbatillion!
17:24: A bit harsh, don't you think. Maybe you could have benefitted from a cotillion or two. I saw 16:29 as seeking to actually experience this cotillion, gather some real facts (not just impressions or hearsay based anecdotes), and share with others.
16:29: Good luck. I, for one, would love to hear about a first-hand experience with the cotillion.

"Everybody" went, minus the one girl whose family couldn't afford it. "Everybody" (that includes kids and parents) knew why she wasn't there.
Ugh. But I bet she's just as well-behaved as the others. And at least her parents aren't wasting money on something they can ( and should IMO) be doing at home and with friends anyway.
Did "everyone" or anyone think about pitching in ($) to provide a cotillion scholarship for the one child left out?

We'll learn to accept each other no matter where we are from, what we look like or how much money we have. And we will definitely learn how to dance. : ) couldn't resist.
