NP. An 8:45am school start time would mean both parents being late for work every single day. What a disaster that would be.

An 8am or 8:15am school start time means that we have time for breakfast, get child to school, and get both parents to work by 9am.

Our kids go to bed at a reasonable hour. Getting up at 6:45 they are thoroughly rested.

I have an only and feel it a little bit. Because my only is very high energy, severe adhd, and also does one million activities so our schedule is kind of like having 3 kids! But in general, yes, there is more flexibility and most importantly, one parent can handle the kid tasks and other parent has a break. So we can plan work trips or personal things and know the other parent can cover.
