As a teacher where I see most problems is when students skip assigned homework or class practice they missed because they were absent that day.

More than any supplementation, I would highly recommend being on top of school work as completing that would ensure the student has 100% mastered the material.

The gaps mostly come about because of either missed homework or missed classes that they skip over.

I teach Adv 6 and have had several kids join from Grade 5. I don’t water down anything. I work with those kids as needed. The majority of the kids opted out of Algebra at my school.
