I find this very hard to believe (very competitive). Especially in 2026, no UMC people want their kid to go to the service academies, with the current C-i-C.
In DC (not "the DMV," but the actual District of Columbia), most years, it's pretty competitive to get a Naval Academy nom (figure maybe 10-15 credible candidates for 5 noms), but there usually are more than enough noms to go around for the other academies, even West Point.Anonymous wrote:Just an FYI- if you live in DC it’s very competitive, especially for USNA.
