No. I found him whiny and nasal-sounding, and nobody was good looking.

One of the hard things about crafting a list like this is that if you dislike a show, you generally stop watching it. And because of that, you don't pick up on when it really takes off. Schitt's Creek is the one that comes to mind that didn't catch my interest enough for me to continue.
Otherwise, of shows I did watch mostly because of my spouse, the CBS crime procedurals had no right to have the ratings they did. NCIS and the variants are boring, Criminal Minds is just gross. At least Person of Interest had a good plot.
And while I'm not sure that I'd deem them as "wildly popular", the cultural impact of the "Real Housewives..." set of shows is way too high. You should all feel bad for watching that dreck.

Schitt’s Creek (love the actors, but the show is not funny)
Stranger Things (blah)
Walking Dead (zombies are stupid)
Ozark (boring)
The Last of Us (boring AND zombies)
Sopranos (got tired of the violence)
Mad About You (tedious actors, not especially funny)
Yellowstone (this is the worst show I have ever seen, it is like a trash nighttime soap for Red America)
