+1. It rained hard for a little bit. That’s all. Now no one will listen next time.

It was fear mongering for clicks! And I fell for it.

Bad weather sells, so they lie and exaggerate for the clicks.

They have successfully predicted 13 of the last 4 storms we have had.

Click bait hypemasters.

I look forward to tomorrow’s rationalization for why they botched it so bad. Put together your own bingo card: tricky, challenging, fuel, best we could, appropriate caveats…

Interesting - they currently have a tornado warning in Calvert County, MD.

Very windy here in Hyattsville. Lights have flickered a couple of times.

Oh stop. It could have been worse. Be glad you are safe and skeptical.

Definitely experiencing that currently in Rockville.

The next time we have thunderstorms in the area, we should just close everything. Better safe than sorry.

It barely even rained in Arlington.

FCPS (Frederick County MD) had a 3 hour early dismissal. During our lunch time we had to shelter in place 2xs. My students weren't able to finish lunch and all were crying for mommy

By far the worst weather of the day (at least so far) we had was when I was picking up my kids from their early closures. One of their schools was under a tornado warning when I had to pick them up. Had to shelter in the school with the kids for about 30 minutes. Then had to drive in torrential rain to pick up the other one at the bus stop. It would have been safer had their schools closed at the normal times. I realize that the weather reports are imperfect, but the timing of their pickups happened to be pretty bad.

I'm glad it was a bust (so far, I guess there is still weather coming but I think the big risk has passed).

I'm not annoyed by the weather warnings or early closures. Better safe than sorry.

I am mildly annoyed by all the dramatic stressing out by people in my office and online, but I guess the lesson there is to ignore the noise from people who don't know anything and focus on verified sources and my own response.
