So much so that they don't even read what was written by OP.

I feel like most liberals are like this.

My neighborhood is full of married couples with kids and All are welcome signs. All these people have “respectable” jobs, they go to church/synagogue/mosque/etc and it’s all very family centric around a two parent household.

OP. Thank you to those of you who provided helpful suggestions. To others who at this point seem deadset on misunderstanding the question: he has a computer, phone and the internet/youtube. He also has social media/accounts, just is busy and doesn’t use them.

In WW2 they graduated classes at West Point after only 2 years. Could happen again if there’s WW3.

I know he would be fine lots of places but curious if there are any culture fits this board might recommend. A SLAC would be great but also wondering if somewhere like UMich could be a fit?

What has he seen that makes him think Leftist politics work? Cuba? North Korea? California? Minneapolis?

Canada and any number of progressive European countries seem to be doing well in terms of overall quality of life for most residents.

This doesn’t seem like the crux of OP’s question though.

To get back to the OP’s question- my kid sounds similar, he’s at Brown and it’s a great fit for him. He’s in a substance-free special interest house that has primarily STEM majors and is very inclusive. He’s not a partier, he and his friends play board games, do a club sport, cook meals together.

I previously posted to look for schools that don’t have an overwhelming Greek presence and have substance free dorms. You’ll also find that at lots of LACs. D26 is finding the same vibe at schools she’s applying to like Hamilton, Carleton, Oberlin, Brandeis and Kenyon. Check out Niche and Unigo reviews and google percentage of Greek life, along with Reddit reviews to get a better picture of the vibes at each school. OP may have answered this, but what is your son’s potential major, and are you looking for merit aid? Does he have a particular distance from home he wants to stay in? More info and we can make some suggestions on specific schools.
