The milk expires so quickly. Are there animals that would drink whole milk? A large number of children? They appeared mid-60s.

I bought a gallon of whole milk last week. its expiration date is March 11. So I disagree that it "expires so quickly."

But for 16+ gallons, I'd need about 3 months into the future -- and a much larger refrigerator.

my guess is some sort of child care arrangement.

I assume they are drinking it - it's still very odd to me of course to drink anything more than a glass but apparently people/kids are drinking 1/2 gallon a day

When my son was a teen, he drank half a gallon of milk per day - I used to joke about buying a cow!

+1 Costco milk usually doesn’t expire for a few weeks and my now-21 year old kid easily drinks half a gallon per day when she’s home from school.

So disgusting.

+1. Tepid water with a squeeze of lemon is all anyone needs.

+1, honestly, that’s all I ever have, and frankly, if it’s good enough for me, it’s good enough for everyone else as well. No calories, no sugar, no caffeine, no alcohol and nothing artificial. It truly IS all anyone needs. Other beverages should be heavily taxed.

Yes, nothing but plain water, plain chicken, plain broccoli, plain brown rice, for my plain life.

Maybe it’s the same lady who said she “needed” to hoard milk before the snowstorm bc each of her teen boys “needs” (wants) to drink a gallon a day.

I have 10 kids, and even at the height of their milk drinking ages, we never needed more than 4 gallons of milk at a time.

They are probably running some sort of business or non profit OP.

What was the immediate effect of drinking half a gallon and long term effect?

+1. Costco, started as Price Club, was designed to be a provider to small businesses- my parents were one of its first members. Haven’t you noticed all the frozen food - especially Asian - is what you get in restaurants?

Like which frozen foods would be sold in a restaurant?

no, because freezing extends the shelf life. That's why you can freeze vegetables, meat, etc. and it stays fresh longer than it would in your fridge or on your counter. Have you never encountered frozen food before?

Liquid dairy is not the same as vegetables or meat

That seems a bit much TBH

My freshman year roommate had the most disgusting eating habits. Just pure trash food and she washed it all down with no less than a full gallon of milk a day. :shudder:

What's wrong with drinking milk? Are you a vegan? Do you eat meat?

come on! a gallon of milk is not healthy normal in any context even body building. It's not drinking milk it's drinking a GALLON!

Exactly. Nothing wrong with some milk in your cofee or with cookies but it is absolutely revolting to lay in bed surrounded by Burger King, Chik Fil'A and candy wrappers slugging milk directly from the gallon jug. Like how mucousy are you? It's gross for a grown adult.

Revolting is eating those meals, with heavy meat...
