Are you homophobic?

To get back on track, I’d advise you to try and get your daughter to see things from your perspective. You had no idea what these books were or why they were where they were. She might have told you and not expected you to somehow know. Don’t beat yourself up.

Or the rule could be ask before you throw something out that doesn't belong to you. Oh sorry "donate."

That can be a rule at your house. Other homes can have other rules. You don't get to decide.

DP. Giving away things that don't belong to you without permission of the owner is a crime. You can't have a "rule" that means you get to commit crimes against other people.

I threw away my toddler's Valentine's Day cards tonight. Please don't have me arrested.

It's fine, op. These things happen.

Hopefully your child apologized to you for her outburst and silent treatment.

A crime. Come on. Be serious.

I don't throw away other people's things without asking.

If I didn't my kids would still be hanging on to dried out play doh

Can you not tell the difference between that and a stack of books?

Did you miss all the Karen's saying you can't throw out anything without a signed permission slip from anyone who has every touched it.

Why is "mom" the one who decides for everyone? Can kids throw out siblings stuff? Can DH throw out DW stuff? Can MIL come over and declutter for adult kids?

No one said the mom's decide that. I get reading comprehension is hard, but keep trying.

Plural of mom is moms. I get punctuation can be hard, but keep trying.

Sorry Karen's. I know how much this upset's you.

It doesn’t upset me but it makes you look stupid.

Lol, you say without correct punctuation.

Their punctuation was fine...

You only need one period at the end of a sentence.
