The moco HS course will continue on with the pace of the teacher. Their course grade and AP test score of two separate things so you can make sure they are prepared by working ahead should you feel it necessary. It will all be okay.
If it's your position that AP kids should be fully capable of teaching with Khan Academy and College Board material themselves, then why do we have the AP classes at all? What is the point of having teachers or sending them to school if you believe the kids should teach themselves?
What a stupid comment. Kids are not supposed to be teaching themselves their coursework. That’s why we have schools.
You may want to hold MCPS to a low standard, but many others disagree. If you want to close schools every time there is ice on the ground, McPS should open two weeks earlier in August. McPS can build in 8 snow days into its calendar instead of the single snow day it has now
God, your kid must really be stupid for you to be this persistent. ALL GOOD AP students supplement on their own, in every city, district, etc. all over the country. They are students who study without being told by a teacher via emails during snowstorms.
Not only is my kid smarter than you, my pet gerbil is smarter than you. Requiring kids to teach themselves is not "supplementing." Students, AP or otherwise, should not be told to "google a curriculum and teach themselves" because MCPS can't figure out how open schools the way its neighboring districts can.

Found a supporter..finally? most students taking AP classes do fine even when they are out of the school building for weather related closures. You didn't parent well.
Feel free to cite the data for that. You didn't get educated well.
data for what? go and study the AP material you were so anxious to get from your kid's teacher. You can learn the material you never had the opportunity to learn.
Do you have problems comprehending the garbage you spout? Me too!
You said "most students taking AP classes do fine even when they are out of the building for weather related closures." You were asked to cite the data that support your conclusion. Where did you get data that show the attendance for all students taking AP classes and the reason for their absence?
Learn to do AP work outside of school. You definitely weren't educated well. It's clear your kid (and you) are not ready for AP. Try again another year.
Translation: I have no response to being called out on making up stupid statements and choose to insult others.
Or you don't know how to respond? Do your work and educate yourself.
Respond to what? Being called hysterical? You sound like a bot. A badly programmed bot.
Go sleep on that AP textbook maybe you will learn something.
Yes. Anyone who thinks MCPS should have adequate instructional time to teach is stupid. You are the only smart one. Enjoy your delusional dreams.
Not a single person in this thread has said that. People have noticed your constant and consistent hysterics about AP classes as if the world has ended because your kid missed a few days of instruction. The world will continue to revolve and most kids will pass the AP exams just fine. Not sure about your kid, but good luck.

The delay was for the continuing ice conditions not for the flurries last night. All of the meteorologists said it would be a nothingburger….
Really? What's going to happen to the snow and ice in the next hour? It's going to magically disappear?
No, but the sun is now up. The delay means no kids walking or driving in the dark and hitting black ice.
There isn't "black ice" in these conditions, and it isn't that dark at 6:30am. Your claimed rationale doesn't make any sense.
Yes, there is as its frozen over at that hour and hasn't warmed up. We still have a lot of black ice in our neighborhood and its still bad and slippery. Kids walk in the street.

What was the delay for? Havent conditions improved since yesterday? Temps are rising , those who didn't shovel because "it's too cold" have had plenty of time to do so by now.
It's still too cold!
It was above freezing at 6 am
